Heritage Art & Music
Saturday Only, 11am to 6pm, The George Washington Hotel
The Pioneer Room at the historic George Washington Hotel offers festival-goers a respite from the heat, an opportunity to hear great music performed live, and to view artwork that reflects the period of the Whiskey Rebellion. Beneath the magnificent murals of Malcolm Parcell that depict scenes from the famous insurrection will be work by contemporary artists Andy Knez and Connie Clutter.
Knez is a member of the National Oil and Acrylic Painters’ Society, the American Plains Artists and Artists of the American West. His work expresses the rugged, self reliant frontier spirit. Clutter, a Washington resident, creates expressive portraits in watercolor, capturing the strength and character of her subjects in their own time. She is a member of Associated Artists of Pittsburgh, The Pittsburgh Watercolor Society, and the Portrait Society of America.
